Pearl Aitcheson, 89, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, May 24, 2008 in Maryland, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Aitcheson was born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 24, 1919 and had emigrated from Jamaica in 1967, spending her first years in the US in New York and then relocating to Vero Beach in 1976.
She attended the First Church of the Nazarene, Vero Beach and St. Helen and Holy Cross Catholic Churches in Vero Beach. She was a member of the Longevity Fitness Club.
Survivors include her son Michael of Lake Worth, FL and Don (Patrick) of Glenn Dale, MD; four granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
Her late husband Stanley preceded her in death in 1974.
Services: Viewings will be held in Maryland at the Rendon-Hale Funeral Home in Lanham, MD on Friday, May 30th, 3-5pm and 7-9pm. On Tuesday June 3rd, there will be viewing at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home Vero Beach between 9:30am-11: 30am with a Mass being celebrated at 12Noon at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will folllow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach followed by a Repast at First Church of the Nazarene on 27th Avenue in Vero Beach.
