It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Jack Candarini, who passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on March 15, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, Peter lived a life defined by kindness, strength, laughter, and unwavering love for his family.

For most of his career, Peter worked as a telecommunications technician for Verizon. Later, he continued doing what he loved at Home Depot, where he enjoyed helping others and putting his talent for fixing just about anything to good use. If something was broken, he could probably repair it, and even if he couldn’t, he’d try to.

Above all else, Peter's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He treasured every moment with his grandchildren—playing in the pool, sharing laughs, and simply being together. Those precious moments created memories that will be cherished forever.

Anyone who knew Peter knew he had a remarkable gift for making people laugh. His quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality could brighten any room. He had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Peter loved the excitement of gambling, especially poker & craps, but the greatest jackpot of his life was the family he loved so deeply. He was a devoted New York sports fan who proudly cheered for the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. Some of his happiest memories were watching games with his son, sharing a love for the game that became one of their most treasured traditions. He also had a special affection for dogs and goats, reflecting his gentle heart and appreciation for life's simple joys.

If there is one word that best describes Peter, it is strong. Strong in character, strong in spirit, and strong in the way he faced life's challenges, even up until the very end. His resilience inspired those around him, and his love for his family never wavered.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Robyn Candarini; his children, Peter Candarini (Chelsea) and Kristen Irish (Ben); his beloved grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas, Olivia, and Dominic; his mother, Marie Candarini; his siblings, Joseph, Michael, Anthony, and Dorothy; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him beyond measure.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Candarini, and his brother, Joseph Fennell.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2000 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Interment at Crestlawn Cemetery will immediately follow the Mass.

Though our hearts are broken by Peter's passing, we are forever grateful for the time we shared with him. He taught us the value of kindness, hard work, resilience, and laughter—not through words alone, but by the way he lived every day. His greatest legacy is the family he loved so fiercely and the countless lives he touched with his generosity, humor, and unwavering strength.

While we will miss hearing his jokes, watching him fix things, cheering on the Yankees and Giants together, and seeing the joy on his face as he played with his grandchildren, we know those memories will remain with us forever.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
