Peter I. Hammer of Vero Beach, Florida
July 9, 1935 – December 17, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Peter I. Hammer announces his passing December 17, 2018 at the age of 83 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. Peter was a graduate of University of Vermont where he attended on a football scholarship. After college he enlisted in the Army and played football for the Army in the Far East. He owned a children's dress company and in later years managed a ladies coat company where he met and married his wife, Janet. They moved to North Carolina and spent 18 wonderful years living by the water before moving to Vero to be closer to family. He loved beaches, boating and sunshine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Justice Frederic Hammer and mother, Rhoda Hammer of New York. Survivors include his wife, Janet; daughter, Jodi; sons, Marc and Andrew; 3 grandchildren; brothers, James and Michael, and many friends.

At Peter's request there will be no services.
