Peter Shaw Hanson, Sr., 84, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Hanson was born November 21, 1925 in Cleveland, OH and moved to Vero Beach 4 years ago from Bryn Mawr, PA.
Prior to retirement he worked for U.S. Steel Corporation for 35 years.
He was a graduate of Western Reserve Academy and the University of Virginia.
He was a member of the Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Yacht Club. He was a former member of Merion Golf Club and the Right Angle Club in Philadelphia, PA.
Survivors include his wife Martha Hanson of Vero Beach, son Peter Shaw Hanson, Jr. of Houston, TX, daughter Christine Carver of Franklin, TN and five grandchildren.
Services: No services are planned at this time.
