IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Philip
Haberstroh
September 15, 1960 – April 21, 2024
Philip "Phil" Haberstroh, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Vero Beach, Florida. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Carl and June Frantz Haberstroh.
Phil, alongside his devoted wife, made the journey from New Jersey to Vero Beach in 2019, embracing a new chapter of life filled with sunshine and cherished moments. An individual of many passions, Phil found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in activities such as fishing, crabbing, and navigating the skies with his RC helicopters.
Professionally, Phil was a lifelong commercial roofing foreman, most recently he was a valued member of the Thompson Remodeling team in Vero Beach, where his skills as a handyman were unmatched. Known for his ingenuity and resourcefulness, Phil approached every challenge with determination and a can-do attitude. It was often said that if "Phil can't fix it, we're all screwed!" — a testament to his unparalleled expertise and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Phil's warm personality and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Quick with a joke or a relatable story, he had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. To Phil, there were no strangers—only friends he had yet to meet.
Phil leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering generosity that will be forever cherished by his family, friends, and community. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Lee Haberstroh, family dog "Sonnie Boy" and his children, Tammy Lee Ann Urgiles of Weehawken, Philip Haberstroh, Jr. and his wife Eyling of Melbourne, Florida, James Haberstroh and his fiancée Christina Bartholomew of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, a brother, Jerry Haberstroh and his wife Sherry of Beachwood, New Jersey, a Brother-in-law Brian Jones his Wife Eileen and his Buddy Brian Jr of Vero Beach. Grandchildren, Destinee, Marcus, Ryan, Tyler, Catalina & Kylie, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss his presence.
In celebration of Phil, the family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 6:30pm till 7:30pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home located at 1950 20th St., Vero Beach, FL.
Phil will be dearly missed but fondly remembered as a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. And by the way he never met a cookie he didn't like!
