PHILLIP DAVID DRAPEAU OF VERO BEACH, FLORIDA
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Veteran, and Friend
July 28 th , 1938 – October 30 th , 2018

Phillip David Drapeau, 80, affectionally known as Phil transitioned peacefully from life unto death in the comfort of his own home the morning on Tuesday, October 30 th , 2018 with his beloved wife by his side.

Phil was born on July 28 th , 1938 in Rochester, New Hampshire.  He was a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1956 then went on to serve our country for 8 years in the United States Army both in Active duty and in the Reserves.

He attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Phil then graduated from the National Mortgage School at Ohio State University and he is also a graduate of the Fairfield School of Banking, The American Institute of Banking, The school of Banking of New Hampshire and Maine and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers.

Phil began his banking career as a teller with Rochester Savings Bank and Trust and over the next 28 years worked his way up to President and CEO in 1989. His 39-year career included Banking, Mortgages and Investments, and his Directorates included the Rochester Country Club, The Rochester Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Rochester Development Corporation and the Eastern New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Banking.

Phil and his beloved wife, Sandi retired and relocated to Vero Beach, Florida in the Spring of 2000 where he continued his love of bowling with his community league.

He leaves his 6 children (Scott, Denise, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Sandra and David) 12 grandchildren (Danielle, Andrew, Brittany, Travis, Chelby, Brendan, Josh, Logan, Kyle, Austin, Riley, and Payton) and 1 great grandchild (Aidyn).

Phil will be remembered most for his kind words, empathetic nature and how he focused on helping others accomplish their goals. In all things he always strived to do the right thing.

We loved you dearly in life, in death we love you still.  In our hearts you hold a place no one else will ever fill.

Memorial Services will be held at The Cox Gifford Funeral Home on Friday, November 16 th , 2018 at 2:00pm
