Ralph F. Galluzzo, age 94, Barefoot Bay, and formerly of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully on March 7, 2010 at his home.
He was born on December 5, 1915 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Giuseppe and Concetta Galluzzo and was a resident of this area for 30 years, coming from Stamford, CT.
Mr. Galluzzo served in the US Navy aboard the USS Yorktown at the Battle of Midway, and retired after 34 years of military service at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer from the Connecticut Army National Guard 192nd Field Artillery Division of Stamford and Norwalk.
He is survived by his three children, Donna Galluzzo of Meriden, CT; Gary Galluzzo of Haymarket, VA, and Keith Galluzzo of New York City, NY as well as four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and his sisters, Jean Butero of Stamford, CT and Mildred Leitch of Ellenville, DE. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Janet Lanzetta Galluzzo and brother Frank.
There will be no service and at his request, he will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery.
