Ralph P. Klepfer, 89, of Sebastian, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born July 5, 1921 in Highland Park, PA and was a resident of Indian River County since 1968, coming from Glen Mills, PA.
During WWII, Ralph was a loftsman for Sunship Building. He was a lead Electrical Engineer for the Space Program and Boeing Vertol, both in Pennsylvania and for Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach. For the last 30 years, he was a self employed architectural designer until his retirement in 2007 at the age of 86. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Bea, daughter, Lynne Bama of Wapiti, WY, sons, Richard Klepfer of Cushing, ME, David Klepfer of Harleysville, PA, and Gerald Gasser of Chester Springs, PA, stepdaughters, Peggy Hayles of Vero Beach, FL, Mary K. Streitz of Pennsville, NJ, Elizabeth J. Taylor of Sebastian, FL, Lisa Thompson of Vero Beach, FL, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Petropoulos.
