Ralph L. Rader Sr., 89, of Fort Pierce passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Rader was born June 2, 1923 in Oldtown, MD. He had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 20 years, coming from Maryland.
He served in the United States Air Force.
He retired from the Western Maryland Railways as a signal maintainer.
Mr. Rader was a member of the Methodist Church in Lakewood Park.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club. He served as Commander for the Oldtown, MD VFW Post. Ralph was scout master for 18 years of Troop #79 in Oldtown and was a charter member of the Oldtown Volunteer Fire Fighters.
Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mary Marie Rader; daughter Mary Kasecamp of Oldtown, MD; sons Richard Rader of Fort Pierce, FL and Danny Rader of Hancock, MD; daughter Bonnie Clark of Cumberland, MD; brothers Melvin Rader of Oldtown, MD and James Rader of Coolville, OH; sisters Elsie Rice of Cumberland, MD and Frances Long of South Carolina; 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Ralph L. Rader Jr.
