Ralph Burell Rucks, 83, of Okeechobee died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the Hamrick Home.
Ralph was born May 2, 1928, in Fulford, FL. He had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1965, coming from Ft. Pierce.
Ralph served in the United States Army Air Corps. After his time in the military, he began his career as a dairyman.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Ralph enjoyed fishing, golf and bowling.
He is preceded in death by his son, Steven Burrell; daughter, Alice Mae; parents, William and Docia; brothers, Olin, Roy, Vernon, and Bill; sisters, Pauline Rucks and Chestine Everet.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marcella; sons, Clifford (Margaret) Rucks of Okeechobee, Michael (Bonnie) Rucks of Jennings, FL; daughter, Judith Rucks and Mary Novich of Euclid, OH; brother, Buddy Rucks of Okeechobee; sister, Irene Stokell; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
