Ray Ladd died of natural causes unexpectedly Friday, January 15, 2010. Ray was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 4, 1934, to Virginia Leighton Ladd and Clifton Ladd. Ray leaves behind his brother Richard who resides in Jacksonville, North Carolina, his sister Susan Bond who resides in Rhode Island, his sons Raymond(deceased) Mark, David, Brian and Douglas who reside in South Florida and his step-sons Mark, Jason and Chris Wehr who also reside in Florida. Ray leaves behind six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Ray will be missed by many of his friends whom knew him from his years as a Golf Pro in the Sebastian area and as the original Golf Pro at the Sebastian Golf Course. Ray went to church faithfully and will be missed by his fellow parishioners. Ray was passionate about golf and he owned and operated Golf Outlet/Classic Golf in Sebastian. Thank you Jim Moore and all of you who supported Rays golf business. Besides golf, Ray loved to fish in the Indian River; many memories were made with his sons and friends there. Of course if you could not catch Ray at the golf course or fishing, then he was watching a baseball game, which was another passion of his. For more than a year, Ray had spent a lot of his time with Brenda MacDonald, whom he cared for deeply. Thank you Brenda for being there for Ray when he needed a friend. A memorial service will be held at the Saint Sebastian Catholic Church, located at 13075 US Highway 1, Sebastian, Florida 32958 at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2010.
