Raymond Habert, 81, of Vero Beach died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center.

Mr. Habert was born August 28, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ. He had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1993, coming from Point Pleasant, NJ.

He served in the United States Air Force as a Senior Weather Observer. He served overseas in Erding, Germany, and received the German Occupation Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include his daughters Mary Ellen Cartwright and Tricia Habert both of Point Pleasant, NJ, Judith Ann Habert of Atlanta, GA; son Thomas Habert of Brick, NJ; sister Patricia Hennesey of Toms River, NJ; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.

Mr. Habert was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Eileen.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach, FL.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Association of Kidney Patients at 2701 North Rocky Point Drive, Suite 150, Tampa FL 33637.
