Raymond Halleran, 72, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL.
Mr. Halleran was born April 18, 1937 in Manchester, CT and moved to Vero Beach in 2003 from Ellington, Ct where he lived for 31 years.
He had worked as a Systems Analyst for the Hartford Insurance Co. in Connecticut and worked at Home Depot in Vero Beach. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Connecticut Conservation Association, a volunteer at the Sebastian Inlet State Park and was passionate about fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Cherie Halleran of Vero Beach, son Brian Halleran and wife Michele of Port Orange, FL, sisters Kathleen Reynolds of Clayton, DE and Barbara Campanelli of Orange Park, FL, and best friend and fishing buddy Bill Brennan of Punta Gorda, FL.
He was predeceased by his brother Col. Kenneth Halleran of Virginia.
Services: In accordance with his wishes there will be no services locally.
