Raymond Martorana, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 19, 2015 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.

Raymond was born on June 29, 1927 in Manhattan, New York City. He was an amateur boxer and then an entrepreneur owning Char-Vi Cleaners in Coney Island, NY. In 1970, he moved his family to Vero Beach, FL where they owned and operated the Beach Vue Motel. Raymond was a resident of Vero Beach for the past 45 years.

Survivors include his longtime companion Peggy Ruetz; his son Charles Martorana and wife Jill; daughter Roseann Martorana, daughter Patricia Martorana and husband Travis; grandchildren Dawn, Nicole, Matthew, and Derryk; and great-grandchildren Samir, Sicily, and Javon. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and daughter VIckie.

A private burial was held at Crestlawn Cemetery on January 21, 2015.
