Obituary

Raymond J. Van Sleet, 75, of Spanish Lakes Country Club, Ft. Pierce, FL died Friday, August 22, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
Mr. Van Sleet was born July 23, 1933 in Cohoes, NY and moved to St. Lucie County 30 years ago from Clifton Park, NY.
He had been the supervisor of the Service Company of Lost Tree Village in North Palm Beach before his retirement. He was of the Catholic Faith and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. Mr. Van Sleet had been a member of the Elks Lodge of Port St. Lucie, FL and the Spanish Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Helen Van Sleet of Spanish Lakes Country Club; four daughters Karen Grove of Temecula, CA, Jennifer Alessi of Farmington Hills, MI, Deborah Monaco of Bradenton, FL and Dawn Patrie of Somers, CT; two sisters Margaret Walsh of Johnson City, NY and Loretta Kozak of Cohoes, NY; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
Services: No services are planned locally at this time. Interment will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery in Saratoga, NY.
