Renfrew Raymond Rudiger, 68, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, July 21, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Rudiger was born October 28, 1939 in Queens, NY and moved to Vero Beach 13 years ago from Northport, NY.
He had been a police officer with the Village of Hampstead Police Department in New York, retiring after 31 years of service. He then went to work at Dodgertown in Vero Beach as the Director of Transportation. He was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach, the IPA, National Police Conference,the Hempstead PBA of which he is a past president, RPI and served on the board of the Riverlake Estates Home Ownerss Association at Copelands Landing in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Tommie Rudiger of Vero Beach, daughter Tracy Horch of Catonsville, MD, son Craig Rudiger of Holbrook, NY, daughter Cassie Rudiger of Vero Beach, daughter Ronni Hubbard of East Nrothport, NY, sister Ruth McKay of Northort, and eight grandchildren.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach followed by his memorial celebration at 7 PM at the funeral home.
