Richard J. Connors, 83, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Connors was born October 4, 1926 in Queens, NY and moved to Vero Beach 23 years ago from Bellmore, NY.
He had been a Second Level Manager for ATT in New York before his retirement and was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. Mr. Connors was a member of St Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and St. Barnabas in Bellmore. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club in Bellmore, the Elks Lodge in Vero Beach and the SHYC.
Survivors include his long time companion Maryellen Siegel of Vero Beach; son Richard (Joanne) of Holtsville, NY; daughters Maureen (James) Lucas of West Babylon, NY and Terry (Mark) DeAngelis of Milford; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Alice Mickey Connors, his second wife Elizabeth Hannon and sister Barbara Arnott.
Service: Mr. Connors will be transferred to the Bartholomew Funeral Home in Bellmore for services.
