Richard S. Cook, 92, of Vero Beach, FL passed away, Sunday, March 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was a native of Lansing, MI. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during WWII. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and he worked as an Executive for Chrysler Motor Company for many years. He was an Elder and a Deacon at Vero Christian Church. Richard found much enjoyment while assisting other churches in their time of growth.
Richard is predeceased by his parents, John and Maude Cook; his loving wife of 57 years, Fern A. Cook; and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Diana Cook; daughter, Judy Heritage; four grandchildren, Michael (Bernadette), Nathan (Susan), Matthew and Alicia (Jeremy); seven great-grandchildren, AJ, Hunter, Lily, Colin, Tristen, Caleb and Kianna as well as many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Vero Christian Church, 3250 Oslo Road, Vero Beach, FL. A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at 5 pm.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Vero Christian Church Property Fund or the VNA Hospice House.
