Richard Lynn Escher, 78, of Vero Beach, died November 10, 2016. He was born on September 4th, 1938 in Braddock, Pennsylvania.

He graduated from the University of Florida with a Master's Degree in Entomology, and retired from Florida Entomology Laboratory after serving for thirty years.

Richard was an avid learner. After retirement, he was ready to explore new-found interests. He enrolled at Indian River State College and completed many courses from music theory to welding. He was a student of pianist, Jill Truax for more than four years. He had a great appreciation for the arts.
