Richard Ricky Harvard Gates, 54, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Gates was born May 30, 1954 in Vero Beach, FL and he was a life time resident.
He was a member of the New Bethel AME Gifford. He was a landscaper.
Survivors include three daughters Lashonte Chacon of Vero Beach, FL, Janna Gates of Micco, FL, and Ciera Gates of Vero Beach, FL; brother John Dupree of West Palm Beach, FL; two sisters Sharon Jelks and Mamie Bain both of Vero Beach, FL; mother Dorothy Bowe of Vero Beach; and five grandchildren.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alford Jones officiating. The family will received friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Burial will be followed in Winter Beach Cemetery, Florida.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
