Beloved husband and father Richard McDonough, Jr., 80, of Fort Pierce, FL died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr.McDonough was born November 7, 1929 in Newark, NJ. He moved to to Fort Pierce in 1997 coming from Bricktown, NJ. He also had a home in Lake Wallenpaupack, Pa.
Mr.McDonough served in the United States Navy on the LST1144 during the Korean War. Upon retiring from the military, he was employed by the United Parcel Service for 28 years.
Richard particiapted in golf and tennis at the Spanish Lakes Country Club Village. He was also active in the Spanish Lakes VFW Post.
Survivors include his wife of fifty one years, Patricia; Richard William McDonough III of Jupiter, Fl and daughter, Eileen McCarthy of Mahwah, NJ. Mr.McDonough is also survived by his four grandchildren.
Services: Mass will be celebrated at Saint Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 12:00pm.
