Richard M. Miller, Sr of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach,FL.
Mr. Miller was born February 24, 1938 in Schenectady, NY and moved to Vero Beach 40 years ago, coming from New York.
He served in the National Guard.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and the National Rifle Association.
In his youth he was a professional boxer, he started early in his career in Sales with Westinghouse and several other companies and then became an Officer with Metro Dade Police Department for 4 years and then became the Chief Security Officer for Carnival Cruise Line for 4 years and ended his career back in sales as the International Sales Manager of the Redman Division of Macho Products. After retirement he worked part time for the Supervisor of Elections office in Vero Beach, FL.
Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years Bonnie Miller of Vero Beach, FL; daughters Cathy Bilaki of Pendergrass, GA and Karen St.John of Farmington, MN; Son Rick Miller of Vero Beach, FL. Also grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and one sister.
A Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2012at Cox-Gifford-Seawineds Funeral Home with a service at 3pm. A burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
