Richard Morris was born March 1, 1950 in Bay Shore, NY and spent his youth in Babylon and graduated from Babylon High School in 1968. He then went on to Fordham University graduating in 1972 with a bachelor's degree. He moved to New Jersey where he lived and worked until he retired. His dreams came true when his parents, Raymond and Ann Morris, purchased a home in Vero Beach. This is where he would spend his vacations. Upon their passing he moved to Walkers Glen, where he served on their HOA board.

He is survived by his best friend, Jan Amato and her daughter, Jill; brothers, Timothy and his wife Arlene, Raymond and his wife, Cathy and their family and Douglas and his wife Sue and their family.

A prayer service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, www.hsvb.org.
