Richard J. Strang, 63, of Vero Beach, FL, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Strang was born April 27, 1948 in Cohoes, NY, and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from New York.
He served as a medical corpsman in the Navy and was assigned to the Marines during Vietnam.
Richard worked as a medic for the Martin County Correctional Institute, and at the VA Clinic in Vero Beach.
He was of the Episcopalian faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Jamie Gates of Schenectady, NY; parents, William & Marcella Strang of Vero Beach; sister, Barbara Cassier of Saratoga Springs, NY; and nephews, Brian, Mark and Jeff Cassier.
Services: Services are planned to be held at Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, Florida. Condolences may be sent through www.coxgiffordseawinds.com
