Rita L. O’Brien, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 9, 2026

Rita was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine Brennan Sances. She was the wife of the late John 'Johnny Boy' O'Brien, whom she was married to for over 44 years.

She worked as a banker for many years prior to her retirement.

Rita was the mother of the late John O'Brien Jr. and Kathleen O'Brien Codero.

She was the sister of the late Jeanne Sances Gorham, John Sances, William Sances and Nicholas 'Buddy' Sances.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary 'Betty' Dorion and Barbara Sparks; and her brother, Bobby Sances; Grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, Brittany and Dakota; three great- grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, services will be private.
