RJ Horskin, 76, of Vero Beach, FL passed away November 29, 2013 at Indian River Medical Center.

He was born September 30, 1937 in Oakfield, GA and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1954.

RJ was the owner of Horskin Lawn care.

He was a former member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Gifford. He was well known in the community for his beautiful voice and often volunteered many days of his life to sing at many home going services for friends, family and neighbors. .

RJ is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lorine Horskin; sons, Jerry Dean Horskin of Melbourne, FL, Robert James Horskin of Melbourne, FL, Darrell Rivers Horskin of Vero Beach and Zackery Horskin of Vero Beach; daughters, Rosemary Allison of Palm Beach, FL, Queenie Sweet of Vero Beach and Laura Horskin of Oakfield, GA; brother, George Gervin of Orlando, FL, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many loving cousins and friends.

Family will received friends 5-7pm, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 11 am, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Gifford Cemetery.
