Robert A. Blount, Jr., 63 of Vero Beach, FL died July 17, 2009 at his residence after a bout with lung cancer.
Mr. Blount was born June 22, 1946 in Geneva, IN and was a resident of Vero Beach for 9 years coming from Moultrie, GA.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Community Asphalt and served with the US Army during Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Amelia; 2 sons, Allen Blount of Pelham, Ga, Kevin Blount of Blythewood, SC; a daughter, Tanya Classon of Baconton, GA; a sister, Lavina Dozer of Sebastian, FL, step children, Ken Metz of Bradenton, FL and Marissa Carlsen of Vero Beach and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Elayne.
Memorial contribution may be made to VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
