Obituary
Robert Dennis Clements, 94, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, January 6, with his wife by his side. He was the son of the late Jesse E. Clements and Merle Baker Clements, Born on July 16, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was the husband of Connie Francis Clements, and father of Robert D Clements Jr., Richard L. Clements, David A. Clements ( Carrie Emard ), and Angela M. Clements ( Santos Gaytan ).
He lived in Indianapolis for the majority of his life where he served as President of Graphic Communications Union Local 17m, for 27 years before retiring in 1997. He also was a driver for Cardinal Health for 15 years, retiring in 2013.
Robert belonged to the Indianapolis Hiking Club and The Indianapolis Racewalkers Club. Racewalking was his passion. He competed in many 5k's, mini marathons, and marathons, throughout the tri-state area.
After his retirement he and Connie relocated to Vero Beach, where he spent the remainder of his life enjoying the Florida sun and lifestyle.
