Robert Alan Gibson, 75, of Hutchinson Island, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2022 with his wife by his side. He was predeceased by his sister Linda Testa and brother Harold Gibson.

Bob was born to the late Harold Alvin Gibson and Aurora Florence Gibson on April 5, 1947 in Providence, RI. He married Judith Fairbanks on March 31, 1967 and they lived together in Rhode Island before retiring on Hutchinson Island, Florida in 2011. It was always Bob's dream to retire in Florida, after being a snowbird for 9 years.

Bob was a tool maker at Leviton Manufacturing until he retired in 2000. He is survived by his sister Zeni Gibson. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews (Steven, Kim, Michele, Lisa, Kellie, Danny, Gina, Shannon, and Michael) and his great nieces and nephews (hnDanny, Hannah, Sophie, Alex, Kevin, Kaley, and Kenin). Bob was also a Big Brother to John Panaccione from the time John was 10 years old. Bob was also a season ticket holder for the Providence Bruins and an avid fan of the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed traveling, especially cruising.

Bob was an easy-going man who made friends everywhere he went. He was proud to live in the Sands Community and have so many wonderful friends there.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.
