Robert F. Hannon, 78, of Vero Beach, FL died peacefully at home on December 13, 2013 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Joan A. (Carvalho) Hannon. He was born and raised in Pawtucket, a son of James and Rosaila (Meehan) Hannon. He lived in Rumford for 42 years until he retired and moved to Florida 10 years ago. Bob worked 28 years for First National Stores and later for Ferrara Bros until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army war veteran serving in Europe.

Bob is also survived by his children, Michael Hannon (Ann-Louise) of Cranston, Patricia Holzwarth (Christopher) of Rumford and Linda Arnaud (Paul) of Tucson, AZ. He was the loving grandfather of Sarah, Patrick, Spencer, Caroline, Reilly and Riordan. He was the brother of Dolores Poirier, Pat Maggiacomo, James Hannon and the late John Hannon, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10am, Friday, January 10, 2014 at Holy Cross Church, Vero Beach, FL. A Memorial Mass in Rhode Island will be held at a later date.
