Robert Earl Hockaday, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Hockaday was born in Selmer, TN. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for one year, coming from Missouri.
He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War aboard the SS Princeton. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his daughters, Carolyn Lawson and Cynthia Farinelli; sister, Shirley Manness; brother, Wayne Hockaday; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Cleo; son, Stanley and daughter, Trishia.
