Robert Duane Klunder, 75, of Sand Lake, MI died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Klunder was born April 4, 1934 in Grand Rapids, MI and was a winter resident of Fort Pierce for 10 years.
Prior to his retirement he was the Owner/Operator of Klunder Concrete Construction Company for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Aberdeen Reform Church in Grand Rapids, MI and attended the Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Valerie Klunder of Fort Pierce, sons Ross Klunder of Rockford, Mi and Douglas Klunder of Brooksville, FL, daughter Kerri Klunder of Rockford, MI, brother Richard Klunder of Grand Rapids, MI, sisters Nancy Diedrich of Bath, MI and Carol VanderMeer of Lansing, MI and four granddaughters.
Services: A memorial service will be held at a later date in Grand Rapids, MI.
