Robert Lankering's Obituary
Robert Lankering, 81, of Vero Beach passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House.
Mr. Lankering was born October 7, 1931 in Paterson, NJ. He had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1990, coming from Poughkeepsie, NY.
He served in the United States Air Force.
Prior to his retirement he worked as an engineer for the IBM company for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Irene Lankering; son, Tom Lankering of Colorado; daughter, Cathy Cheney of Pennsylvania; son, Jim Lankering of New York; daughter, Phyllis Tate of Vermont; daughter, Jane Thompson of Ohio; daughter, Sue Lankering of Delaware; and ten grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church at 500 Iris Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32963.
