Robert W. Lohner, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Lohner was born October 19, 1928 in Denver, CO. He had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1990, coming from Richmond, VA.
He served in the United States Army at the end of the Korean War.
Robert received his Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Denver.
Prior to his retirement he worked for the AT&T Corporation for 20 years.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce M. Lohner; son, Thomas Lohner of Midlothian, VA, Mark Lohner of Igula, Mexico, John Lohner of Arvada, CO; daughter, Mary Lohner of Richmond, VA, Jeanne Ashman of Powhatan, VA; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in June in Richmond, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach, FL 32960.
