Robert J. Nece, 78, of Vero Beach, FL, died Wednesday, November 15, 2023 with his family by his side.

He was born in Riverside, NJ on October 26, 1945 to the late Warren (Dick) & Marion Nece.  Bob graduated from Palmyra High School in 1963 and received his teaching degree from Rutgers University.  He married Marie Fraley, the love of his life, on June 20, 1970.  He was a middle school Social Studies teacher at Indian Mills Middle School for over 30 years before he and his wife retired to Vero Beach, FL.

Bob was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.  He also loved bird watching, wildlife photography, shelling in Sanibel and spending time with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Marie, his sons Mark (Jacqui) Nece of Palmyra, NJ; Daniel Nece of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren Ashley, Emma, Tyler and Jason; his cousins Michael Ridgeway (his "little brother" who affectionately referred to Bob as "Bear"), Melissa Chroscinski and Todd Grant as well as his Village Green family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Swan Lake Club House in Village Green from 10 am until 11:30 am.
