Obituary

Dr. Robert Anthony Sabot, 88, of Vero Beach. FL passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his residence in Vero Beach. FL.

Robert was a native of Yonkers, NY. "Dr. Bob" as he is known to his family and friends received his degree from Kensington University as a Doctor of Philosophy Education Administration Dr. Bob retired from General Foods in 1985 after 32 years. He was a faculty member at the State University College of Purchase in New York. Robert served in the United States Army Air Force from 1944 to 1946, and received a World War II Victory Medal.

He was a board member of The Indian River County Sheriff's Office for 27 years, Life Member Veterans of Foreign Wars, Life Member AMVETS, Life Member, Officer and Trustee of Elks Lodge #1774, Dr. Bob was Member of St. Helen's Parrish and an honorary "Ladybug."

Dr. Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose; five children, Paul, Denise, Robert, Donna and Dawn; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Memorial Mass will be held at noon Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. Helen's Catholic Church. And Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to VNA/Hospice or St. Helen's Church. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
