Robin M Hickey, 67, affectionately known as "Ms. Martha", "Mom", and "Yaya" of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on August 3, 2024, peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Holmes Regional in Melbourne, Florida.
Robin was born on November 6, 1956, to Rev. Leonard Melton and Mary Melton in Jacksonville, Florida. While growing up, Robin moved to many places which included Germany, New York, and Florida before retiring to Palm Bay. Robin spent 18 years passionately working at Saint Helen Catholic Church in the Christian Learning Center and the Outreach Office. Robin was devoted to helping others. She spent many years in charge of the church's Giving Tree at Christmas time; ensuring children and families in need also had a special Christmas. Robin was also in charge of the Thanksgiving feast for the homeless or anyone who didn't have family to spend time with. Robin enjoyed volunteering at the Saint Helen Harvest Festival for over 20 Years.
In 2015, Robin retired and spent her time traveling the world with her husband, Charlie, & her children and grandchildren. Robin enjoyed Cruising, going to the beach, and watching the Boston Red Sox. Robin loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, & she would proudly introduce them to everyone she met.
Robin was predeceased by her late Husband, Joseph Hickey III; her children, Sean Stafford and Sabrina Williams; her grandfather & grandmother, Jesse Lee & Louise Messer; & her father, Rev. Leonard Melton.
Robin is survived by her husband, Charles A. Rinehart; her daughters, Erica Klipstine (Gerrit), Melissa Daniel (Charles), Holly Ellis (Wayne), Jennifer (DuWayne); her mother, Mary Melton; siblings, Robert Melton, Celeste Melton & Johnathan Melton (Kelly); grandchildren, Joseph Klipstine, Taylor Klipstine, Lindsey Barding (Blake), Austin Clark (Danielle), Montana Westbrook (Jacob), and Brooklyn Hill; her great-grandchildren, Josie Westbrook, Mavery Clark, Lilly Westbrook, Walker Westbrook; & many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, 32960.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Saint Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US 1, Sebastian, Florida, 32958.
