Ronald (Ron) L. Shaw, 51, of Port St. Lucie, FL died Monday, April 6, 2009, after a brief illness at Port St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Mr. Shaw was born September 14, 1957 in Wilkes-Barre, PA and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 18 years coming from Forty Fort, PA.
He was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Northampton College in Pennsylvania. Mr. Shaw was the Owner / Funeral Director of Veterans Cremation & Burial Society in Stuart, FL and had been Regional Vice President of SCI for Southeast Florida while at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, FL. Prior to coming to Florida, he was a Funeral Director in Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jane Shaw of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter Sarah Shaw of Jacksonville, Fl; son Ron (Jarod) Shaw of Orlando, FL; mother Betty Jean Shaw of Wilkes-Barre, PA; brother Melvin E. Shaw, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
He was predeceased by his father Melvin E. Shaw, Sr. in December 2007.
Services: The family will receive friends 5-8 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, FL. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2009 at Aycock Funeral Home with a viewing at 10 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
