Rose A. Donovan, 89, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Donovan was born August 27, 1922 in New Haven, CT and moved to Vero Beach in 2010 from East Haven, CT.

She had been employed many years at Albertus Magnus College and the former First Union Bank in Hamden, CT. She was a communicant of Saint Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven, CT.

Survivors include her daughter Maureen D. Kane of Vero Beach, FL and son Mark Donovan of Guilford, CT; a sister Bernadine Costa of North Haven, CT; two grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Francis A. Donovan and a brother Thomas Angelini.

Services: Mrs. Donovan will be transferred to the Porto Funeral Home in East Haven, CT for calling hours 5-8 PM on Monday, January 2, 2011 at the Porto Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at Saint Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven, CT followed by burial at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven, CT.
