Rose Mary Sirvart Gallagher, 81, of Vero Beach, FL passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach with her family at her bedside.
Mrs. Gallagher was born December 27, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA and had been a resident of Vero Beach for a year, coming from Barrington, NJ.
Rose was highly regarded as an OB Nurse at Pennsylvania Hospital before her retirement. She was a member of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Philadelphia, where she served on the Ladies Guild and as Sunday School Superintendent. A dedicated and beloved volunteer, she was a member of the Armenian Relief Society.
Her life was dedicated to raising her family, volunteering for her community, being a productive part of her church, and dedicated to her profession.
Survivors include her daughter Marta Rose Gallagher of Vero Beach; son Dr. Michael (Joanne) Gallagher of Vero Beach; grandchildren Tracey Gallagher and R. Michael Gallagher, II both of Philadelphia, Jennifer Nause of Hardwick, NJ and Kevin Warner of Hatfield, PA.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Robert M. Gallagher, in 1988, her parents Misak and Isabelle Semerjian, and a sister Marta Sherinian.
Services: A mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Friday, August 21, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
