Obituary

Rosemary Ossenfort Brofos of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on August 28, 2021. Rosemary died as she had lived, dearly loved by family and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
Rosemary was born in Chicago, on March 13, 1932 to Myrtle and John Fry. Rosemary and her mother relocated to Kissimmee, FL during WWII when her father was serving in the navy. Rosemary spent her high school years in a boarding school and then attended The University of Florida where she met her first husband Douglas Ossenfort. They raised three children Scott, Kevin and Alecia.
Rosemary received her Masters Degree and became a licensed therapist as well as a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists. She spent her career being a champion for women and children who could not speak for themselves.
Rosemary served her community in many positions of the following clubs and organizations:
local chapter of American Association of University Women, National League of American Pen Women, Garden Club, Rock and Gem Club.
Rosemary was a prolific creative and artistic professional who painted, sculpted and wrote and illustrated three children's books:  Dudley's Secret a puppet play, Two Little Girls From Kissimmee a true story about growing up in Kissimmee and The Mikado - A Reversal of Roles, a musical parody of a parody.
Rosemary was a beacon of basic goodness in humanity with a love of life who really lived each day to its fullest, always with a smile on her face and with the grace of a beautiful and intelligent woman.
Rosemary was predeceased in death by her son Scott, daughter-in-law Gretchen, first husband Douglas and second husband Frederick Brofos. She is survived by her son Kevin, grandson Nicholas, daughter Alecia and son-in-law Al.
An informal service of Remembrance and Celebration will be held at Cox - Gifford Funeral Home, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, Florida on Monday, September 27 10:15 - 11:15
A church service will be held on September 27 11:30 - 12:30 at Community Church, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach, Florida
Burial services will follow immediately afterwards at Crestlawn Cemetery, 1216 14th Street, Vero Beach, Florida
