Ross L. Burleson, age 77, died Sat., Dec. 11, 2010, at Raulerson Hospital.
Mr. Burleson was born in McDowell, N.C. He was owner and operator of a service station and garage in Burnsville, N.C. and relocated to Okeechobee in 1980.
Cars and trucks were his favorite pastime. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles and had served his country with thirty years of service in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Corene. Survivors include brothers, Roy (Joyce) Burleson, Lee (Annie) Burleson; sister, Zula Williams, all of N.C.; nephew, Dan Burleson; stepdaughter, Patricia (Peter) Payne of Royal Palm Beach; and a host of other nephews and nieces in N.C.
Visitation will be held Sun., Dec. 19, from 2-3 pm, with a service at 3:00 pm., at Buxton-Seawinds Chapel at Abundant Blessings Church. Private entombment will be held at a later date.
