IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roxie Evelyn
Barganier
September 8, 1932 – June 13, 2025
Roxie Evelyn Barganier, 92, of Vero Beach, Florida went to be with her beloved Jesus on June 13th, 2025.
Roxie, who used her middle name, Evelyn, was the eighth child born to Fred and Millie Richardson on September 8, 1932. She was predeceased by numerous beloved brothers and sisters. She is survived by several cherished brothers and sisters: Hazel, Mickey, George, Diane, David, and Renee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
After graduating from high school at 16 years old, Evelyn moved to Mobile, Alabama where she eventually worked at Brookley Air Force Base. In 1951 Evelyn competed in and won the Miss Brookley pageant which led to several modeling opportunities. It was at Brookley Air Force Base where she met and married her first husband, Jack Leonard. After Jack passed away from cancer, Evelyn continued to live in the Mobile area where she met her lifelong love, Robert 'Bob' Barganier.
Bob and Evelyn married on March 30,1956 and were joyfully married for 67 years until Bob's passing in 2023. Bob and Evelyn are survived by three daughters, Lisa, Ellen and Julie, four grandsons Johnny, Joshua, Matthew and Jonathan, their granddaughter Jerrica, and great-granddaughter, Lucy.
Evelyn's life was an expression of her love for her family and her faith in Jesus. These two things shaped her actions and defined her purpose in life. She worked tirelessly to provide special memories for her family. She was a skilled seamstress, artist and cook, using her skills as a caterer. From her travel to over 70 countries with her beloved Bob to the precious moments spent with her siblings, daughters, and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Evelyn found her greatest joy in the company of those she held dear.
Her daughters would like to thank the entire staff and community at The Brennity of Vero Beach for their kind and caring love.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Evelyn's memory, donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/memorial-giving/ .
