Royce "Andy" Anderson, 80, of Vero Beach died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House.

Mr. Anderson was born August 20, 1932 in Easton, MN.

He served in the United States Army for 20 years. He served during the Korean War, Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. He retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

After his time in the service he worked for the Civil Service for 20 years in Vint Hill Farms Station in Virginia, and then retired to Greenville, NC where he lived for 20 years. Here he was an avid golfer. He then moved to Vero Beach for 2 years.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dottie Anderson; daughters Donna Lee Jones and her husband Carl of Leesburg, VA, Shelly Joyner and husband Gary of Greenville, NC, and Bonnie Walker and husband Jimmie of Vero Beach, FL; son Michael Anderson and his wife Lisa of Manassas, VA; grandchildren Chris Joyner, Brian Hicks, Steven Attkisson, Candace Russo, Dr. Nathan Joyner and Jaimeson Anderson; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A private inurnment will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
