Ruby B. Davis, 86 of Sebastian, FL died Monday, January 19, 2009 at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born March 22, 1922, in Chilhowie, VA and was a resident of Sebastian for 17 years, coming from West Grove, PA.
Prior to retirement she had worked as a seamstress for West Grove Knitting Mills, West Grove, PA, and she was a member of the Church at the Cross Nazarene Church, Sebastian, FL. She loved sewing, reading, playing scrabble, spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Mildred C. Hartman of Sebastian, FL, Shirley A. Armstrong of Newark, DE, Juanita L. Leioatts of Sebastian, FL, Wanda Sue Price of West Grove, PA; sister, Carrie M. Martin of Chilhowie, VA; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Church at the Cross: 50 S. Wimbrow St, Sebastian, FL 32958.
Family and Friends may call at the Church at the Cross, Sebastian, FL from 6-7:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2009 with church services at 7:00PM with Pastor John Vacchiano officiating. A second service will be held at the Ruffenanch Funeral Home: 224 Penn Ave, Oxford, PA 19363 on Monday, January 26, 2009. Family and Friends may call from 11-12:00 AM with funeral services beginning at noon with Pastor John Vacchiano officiating. Interment immediately following at the Kemblesville United Methodist Church, Kemblesville, PA.
