Rudolf A. Benedikter, 86, of Melbourne, Fl. passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Fl.
He retired to Vero Beach 24 years ago from Allied Chemical in Syracuse, NY where he was a
research chemist. During WW11 he served in the US Army.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beatrice, of Melbourne, FL.; daughters, Dorothy (William) Davies of Vero Beach, FL. and Margaret Winschel of West Melbourne, FL.; grandsons James (Kristina) Winschel of Addison, TX; Eric (Tiffany) Davies of Chandler, AZ; Kevin Davies of West Palm Beach, FL.; and Richard Davies of New York City, NY; and one great grandson Michael Winschel of Addison, TX.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Palm Bay at
10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 with burial to follow at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
Following the internment, the family will host a luncheon for family and friends at Old Towne Caf in Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Starting Afresh at St. Josephs Catholic Church or the Alzheimers Association in memory of Rudy Benedikter.
