Ruth P. (VanEmburgh) Andrews of Vero Beach, FL passed away January 16, 2013. She was the daughter of Ellen and William VanEmburgh, and wife of Malcolm Andrews, Jr.Ruth was born and raised in Riverside, N. J. and she completed her education there. She was a member of the Riverside Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron and also a member of the Daughters of the Nile, serving as Queen in 1977.Ruth did volunteer work at Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital for 20 years and was a charter member of the Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary. She grew up attending the Riverside Methodist Church and was a member of the Jupiter-Tequesta Methodist Church and the Vero Beach Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents - Ellen and William C. VanEmburgh, her brother William C. VanEmburgh, Jr., and her husband Malcolm Andrews, Jr.She is survived by her Sister-In-Law Patricia VanEmburgh, Woodbury, N.J., nephews Robert VanEmburgh of Acton, Mass., and James VanEmburgh, Salina, Kansas, and niece Sharon Scafiro, Riverside, N.J., as well several grand nieces and nephews.Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, FL. is handling the arrangements. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 1:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose room at Willowbrook Court, Indian River Estates, 2440 Citrus Blossom Circle, Vero Beach, Florida.Burial will take place at a later date at Odd Fellows cemetery, Burlington, N.J.
