Ruth Louise Boudreau was born on December 19, 1936, to Frederick and Muriel (Purnell) Wiseman and grew up in Mission Hill, Roxbury, and later, Stoughton, MA. Her father, Frederick, was a career Navy man and Ruth was very proud of his service to our country. She was fortunate enough to have two sisters who were also her best friends: Mary (and Gilbert Gordon), now both deceased, and Frances (and her husband William Hagerty, now deceased). Ruth attended Mission High School and graduated in 1954. After graduation she worked at State Street Bank until meeting and marrying her husband, Frederick C. Boudreau, who predeceased her in 1996.

Ruth and Fred had four children, Frederick Jr. of Saco, ME ; Barbara, (and husband Brian Gines) of Vero Beach; Jacqueline (and husband Brad Esthus) of Attleboro, MA, and Ruth, of Winthrop, MA. When her children were well into their school years, she took on a job at Schrafft's candy company in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The stories she told about nights working with Joanie Miller, Chickie Suppa, Rose Giannelli, Sally Duffy, and others still make us laugh today. Most of those people remained lifelong friends.

Ruthie (as her friends called her) later worked at Hale & Dorr Law Firm in Boston, and worked there until her retirement in 1998. She made lifelong friends with Dick O'Donnell, Margaret Hoar, Dolores Renz, Carol Morrell, David Meears and many others. She lived in Everett, Massachusetts until a visit to her sister Fran turned into a permanent move to Vero in 2001. Over the years since, Ruth and Fran have entertained many a gathering with their constant good-natured sparring and one-upmanship. The Florida weather added years to her life and she was blessed with a new group of friends, although she maintained contact with her Everett/Boston friends for many years and especially missed her best friend, Helen (Sissy) Moore.

Ruthie was proud of her children and cherished the grandchildren who followed-Reggie, Eric, Kacey, Lauren, Noelle, Stephanie, Brian Jr., and Brandy. She built memories with them by visiting local spots like the New England Aquarium, the Boston Public Garden and Swan Boats, the Franklin Park Zoo and many other places. Several greatgrandchildren followed her retirement and move to FL- Ireland, Jade, Taiyvin, Nevaeh, Taleah, Malachi, Jaziah, Eli, and Mathias, who lovingly called her GG. Memories with her great grands were built by visiting local Vero spots like the Environmental Learning Center, the Manatee Observation Center, Smithsonian Ecocenter, and others.

Those of you who knew Ruthie know that she was quick to laugh and usually had a smile on her face. She was happiest when surrounded by friends over a cup of coffee and a funny story. She held her native Boston dear to her heart, and was a proud Sox fan and spent many an opening day at Fenway with children and grandchildren.

Ruthie's family would like to thank all of you who have made her time in Vero so special. We are truly grateful that she was able to enjoy the comfort of family and friends in such a beautiful place for the past 16 years.
