Ruth Holcomb Childers, 95 of Vero Beach, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Ruth was born in Chicago in 1920. She moved to Vero Beach in 1979 with her husband, Jack, who preceded her in death in 2006. Ruth enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Ruth is survived by son, John Childers (Jane); daughter, Christine Stewart (John); five grandchildren, Julie, Lisa, Anne, John and Sarah; and 3 great-grandchildren, Tasman, Kepler and Lukas.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10 AM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL. Burial will be private.
The family suggest that donations be made to the Indian River Shores Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
