Ruth Glenda Claycomb, age 89 of Okeechobee, Florida, died at her residence on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
Born August 23, 1920 in St. Michaels, PA., Mrs. Claycomb has been a resident of Okeechobee for 14 years and was formerly of Imler, PA.
She worked for the Puritan Knitting Mills in Altoona, PA., and was one of Jehovahs Witnesses.
Mrs. Claycomb was preceded in death by her husband Dean Clarence Claycomb, brothers Clayton, Clair, and Donald Harr, and her sisters Ethel Burkett and Grace Harr.
She is survived by her sons, Larry D. Claycomb of Okeechobee, Robert A. Claycomb of Okeechobee, Rodger E. Claycomb of Smithville, MO., and 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Blanche Lingenfelter of Okeechobee, Leanore Claar of East Freedom, PA., and brother Fred Harr of Imler, PA.
A memorial service was held on April 10, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses with Elder Sam Brazil officiating.
